2008 METI Cup Winners
University of Michigan's Survival Flight Congratulations to the University of Michigan’s Survival Flight who took home the METI Cup at the Annual Critical Care Skills Competition held at the Air Medical Transport Conference in Minneapolis. This is their second year holding on to this title after defeating 14 other teams in the largest METI Cup Competition ever. They won a $600 cash prize and a travel scholarship to attend HPSN09 in Tampa, FL. STARS from Calgary, Alberta took second place with LifeNet Air Medical Services from Omaha, Nebraska finishing in third place.

The METI Cup
Critical Care Skills Competition at
the Air Medical Transport Conference
San Jose, CA
October 26-28, 2009
Medical Education Technologies, Inc. (METI) is pleased to host the Eighth Annual METI Cup Competition held at the Air Medical Transport Conference in San Jose, California. This annual event, increasing in intensity and participation, utilizes the latest in human patient simulation provided by METI.
Sixteen teams will go head-to-head at showing off their real time, real situation skills on METI’s state-of-the-art patient simulators. Only two teams will make it to the final competition, which will take place during lunch of the AMTC conference while attendees gather to see each team’s skills.
The winning team will receive a $600.00 cash prize, two replica METI Cup trophies and a travel scholarship to attend METI’s HPSN 2009 Conference in Tampa, Florida. The second place winning team will receive $250.00 cash prize and third place will win $150.00. All participants will receive CEU Credit for their participation.
Team Eligibility Criteria: -Each team must consist of two people. Teams may consist of any combination of Paramedics, Nurses and/or Physicians.
-Teams may have alternates if they choose, however only two members will participate in the competition.
-Each team will participate in two scenarios.
