• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5-7 years professional engineering experience in the development of high reliability medical, aerospace, or transportation products including general understanding of tolerance stack up, and manufacturability
• Experience with sheet metal, machined and molded plastic and metal components
• Experience generating prints and reports in accordance with standard quality management systems
• Track record of success working on products from concept to commercialization
• Experience in material characterization, selection and compatibility assessment
• Basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5M-1994
• Experience with all aspects of Configuration Management including the engineering change process, change control board, drawing formatting/release, part number creation, part revision sequence and bills of material
• Experience with material review board processes including documentation, control of nonconforming product, assessment, and disposition
• Working knowledge of active and passive mechanisms, chassis structure, electromechanical systems, electrical and pneumatic actuators, sensors, power integration, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, control systems, EMI, shock, vibration, water, dust and corrosion resistance tests
