The glossy brochure that is at time of writing unavailable from the website for iStan mentions HPS6 "for iStan" software

A couple of questions,

will we be able to play patients and scenarios we have developed on HPS6 through the "HPS6 for iStan" software?

Does HPS6 "for iStan" have the capability to develop new patients and scenarios? Or is the content "hard wired"?

We'd like to be able to take iStan out to the academies where our 3rd year Medics are studying. It's important that they receive parity of teaching with their colleagues so we'd hope to be delivering the same content to both groups of students, those at academy and those based with us.

And whats the price of iStan, should I check eBay?

Thanks

PETE

Dear Pete,

As with HPS and ECS with i-Stan you can programme in the same fashion by using Editor - you can wither write scenarios with events and transitions e.g asthma, chest pain etc and overlay standard man, soldier etc and/or you also have the capability as with HPS and ECS to create a " New patient" e.g COPD and then overlay a scenario - the way in which you programme is the same as you are used too.

So yes - once yo have decided on your learning outcomes yo can move i-stan around the region

Does that help -Ian Ballard whom I know you know would be happy to talk this through with you ,

best wishes,

Mandy
