Hello from Calgary...Does any know of a way to get rid of blue ink mark? A student accidently nicked our ECS just a small mark but it is noticeable. I have used alcohol, orange cleaner and even tried an eraser to see if it would fade the color a bit but no luck. Any suggestions?...Have a good weekend everyone...

I have found the answer…a scary suggestion by tech was to use 120 grit sand paper to buff it out. It worked very well, it did not damage the skin and it was able to take off the layer of pen completely. Thought I would pass it on…

Hmmm....here's a question for the techs. Does this also work on the softer chest and IV arm skin?

Hairspray, GooGone, Bleach, Ammonia...do not work on ink pen (no I didn't try them all at once). Virtually nothing works. The best solution is PREVENTION. I have seen some simulator laboratory policies that indicate that learners may only use pencils in the simulation lab. I have an area for 'prep and debrief' and learners must leave all ink pens at the table...

Also for the ECS & HPS product lines only, you can use the Mr. Clean Eraser. This has been known to work for ink and any stained moulage....:)

Does anyone have measurements on the size and cooling requirements for the air compressor provided with the ECS simulator? Will be obtaining 2 of them, and will be looking to enclose this compressor for noise reduction.
Thanks..

One of our customers had tried this with one of our ECS simulators and had equally good results. They applied the 10% benzoyl peroxide to the skin and moved the simulator near the window, but also left the fluorescent lights on. After about 5 days, the ink was gone.

This customer also said they got this idea plus others from www.sickkitchen.com.
