View Full Version : Right leg on HPS
Greetings all.
I was in the process of putting pants on STAN for a sim, and his right leg came off in my hands. I'm having a particularly hard time putting it back on. Any suggestions? Does this snap in place, or is there a screw involved?
Thank you
Amanda

I take my HPS leg off all the time for a scenario of a diabetic above the knee amputation post-op that has a PE. My leg has a long screw or pin with a round machined nut on the end. I unsrew the nut and pull out the pin, it has two small tubings connected that run the pulses in the leg. I disconnect them and put them together to keep the circuit complete. Now I bandage the leg add a two by four guaze pad that I pre-stained with faux blood it is dry I add a piece of guaze wrap to cover so that it looks fresh but not a problem. By the way the HPS is intubated. To put leg back on reverse process connect tubing put pin in and screw nut to pin.
