Dear Roelie,

The METI HPS simulates the signals of certain pressure transducers or catheters as they are used for real patients.
This means, that provided the right adapter cable almost any patient monitor can be connected to the METI HPS simulator.
-- in your case the MP70.

Let me quickly resume what cables you need:
- for the ECG Cable (3-5 leads), the etCO2 probe and the NiBP Cuff you can use the standard cables.

For the invasive pressures, METI HPS produces a signal as from an “Abbott Transpac IV” pressure transducer. So you would have to purchase a cable that interfaces your Philips with an Abbott Transpac IV pressure transducer. This cable can be obtained from Philips, from Abbott or from METI directly with the METI Monitor Interface Cable Kit.

For the other cables the situation is similar, but METI emulates the signals of different brands:
Cardiac Output: Baxter Swan Ganz

SPO2: METI can emulate several finger clips (e.g. Nellcor), but the cable from the Monitor would have to end in a D-sub 9 connector — as if you wanted to connect a finger clip to this cable.

Body Temp: Malinckrodt Thermister Series.

As mentioned, METI offers a set of the most used cables (3 Invasive Pressure Cables plus 1 Temperature cable) for many of the major brand monitors (Philips, Datex, Marquette) in the METI Monitor Interface Cable Kit.

Alternatively, the producer of the monitor (Philips) or the catheters (Abbott, Malinckrodt, Baxter) can provide you with the correct cables.
I have contacted Philips Germany for specs of the cables and a contact and order number in the Netherlands. As soon as I know more, I'll post the information here.

Additionally you can contact the METI International Customer Support under international.support@meti.com or you can give us a call under +49 6131 3807520.

Please feel free to contact me.

Cheers,
Markus

Help from a fellow techinician.

Open your HPS software.
Click HPS > HPS Drug Responses > Modify System Drug Responses and browse to your newly created drug list (you probably know this bit, however)

The next time you open the HPS software it will use the last drug list that you told it to, so providing you browsed to the right file, that list is now default.

Hope thats some help answering your question, I'd be happy for your boss to pay for me to come show you, its raining here..
