Hello,
our simulation centre in salzburg, austria just bought a metivision system with a customized audio package.
The customized audio package consists of a 4-channel mixer, two mics a software and a connection of these things.
Since 7 days the Meti-support is not able to help me how these parts work together, how they are connected or if something is missing.
Does somebody has bought a customized audio package as well and could help me.

Dear Marc,
sorry for the confusion here. We are investigating what you have ordered and where on the way between Austria and Florida the order has changed to what you have received.
But as discussed on the phone, for the time being, you can use the equipment that METI provided you with to have individual adjustable audio channels on your METI Vision system. Eventhough the equipment that you received is not yet the CD quality audio device that you ordered, you will see that the concept of METI Vision is very flexible and provides in an easy way a lot of possibilities.
In the basic setup, MTV records audio via the built-in microphones of the cameras. To improve the audio quality and to record audio signals that are individually adjustable, you can add directional or portable microphones to the system.
The equipment that you own at the moment already allows this.
Please follow the following setup steps to connect your microphones to the METI Vision system:
Connect your microphones to the mixer and use the XLR-to-3.5mm cable to connect the output of the mixer to the audio-in ports of one of the cameras.
During recording, make sure that you select this camera as your audio source. Now you can adjust the audio input into METI Vision using the mixer. Very easy, isn't it?
The audio quality of this setup should be good enough for spoken language, but it is limited by the camera-internal analog-to-digital converter, which doesn't use a hi-fi conversion process.
To further improve the audio quality of the recording, METI offers a separate audio-to-digital converter which will improve the audio quality to CD level.
We are working on getting this enhanced audio-to-digital converter to you, but using the setup described above you should be able to work with the system already with individually adjustable audio inputs into METI Vision.
