Hallo, I'm passing on a request fro help from Ricardo Murta from Coimbra Biomedical Simulation Center

"I'm having a problem with iStan arms....somehow, everytime after a workshop, i have to drain liquid from his arms. I've tested the IV acesses and found no leak. Of course there are punctures on the "veins", but i've tested them and found no leak that could cause such problem...any idea besides the wrong aplication of the serum catheter ?"

Can anyone help? Or mail me and I can pass on the message to Ricardo

Thanks

Marco and Peter,

You made mention of a sternal I/O misuse. Is this the I/O drill? This is not recommended for use on the iStan humerus. Also check you trauma bleeding source around the shoulder joint. There could possibly be a leak in that line. You would probably benefit by having a METI Technician visit your site.
