I'm trying to build up a business case revolving around purchasing an iStan, but I can't seem to find much info on the warranty. What all is included in the basic warranty and how long is it? What is included in the extended and premier warranties? What is the preventative maintenance that is included in the premier warranty? Thanks

If you contact your local sales rep they can send you an excel spreadsheet that includes the price for iStan and every possible add on - including the warranties and what is included with each. I used this sheet to build our case and was able to describe each item. I would attach it but I am on the road for the next week.
St. Joe's Livingston purchased the premier warranty and I just extended it for next fiscal year. We had a number of initial problems with iStan (ours is number 190) and METI has been excellent to work with to keep him working properly. Service initially was a bit slow but I attribute this to the demand. I don't think METI saw the popularity of this simulator coming. I would highly recommend the warranty and consider the multiyear option.

While we (iStan 217) at Nazareth Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesiology have received excellent customer support from our sales reps (Andrea and now Marni), and service engineers (Randolph and Skip), if there is ONE recommendation that I would make it would be to purchase an extended warranty. As an old pilot once told me, beware of flying the "A" model of anything, this quote applies to iStan. We have encountered many of the glitches that can are expected with new versions of a product. What has preserved METI's reputation in our eyes is timely and excellent service whcih has allowed us to have uninterrupted use of our simulator. However this service is supported by the warranty and is a must with this product. Feel free to email me if you have any questions. As noted previously in the thread, your rep will be able to provide you with a detailed list of warranty options.
Good Luck
