I have what may be an odd question (especially since we have had our HPS for nearly 3 years). I just noticed the other day that when the rack is on and no patient is connected there is still a steady use of air. I also noticed that our compressor is is running versus off in nearly a 3:1 ratio (this is the quiet one supplied by METI). Is this normal behavior or do we have a problem?

Note: there are no leaks in the system prior to the rack (that's the first thing I checked :)).

When the rack is off, there should be no consumption of air. If the air is running with the rack off, there is a leak. Contact customer support to trouble shoot this.

I have noticed the same thing that with the rack ON, but no patient running, I still lose air. Why?

You may find if you took the side panel off your rack that a plastic jubilee clip may have come off or just loose. This happened to us and we just replaced the clip and its fine.
