We've connected our iStan to the METIVision but cannot get the waveform data to appear on the waveform window on the simulation screen. Have I missed something in the set-up?

Hi
Do you have the latest version of the flash player? We found that having an old version made metivision a bit clunky
Also, which version of the metivision software are you running? The .14 version is significantly more reliable and robust than the older versions
From the manual -
METIVision minimum browser requirements:
• Macintosh – Safari® 3 or later
• Microsoft Windows – Internet Explorer® 7 or later or Firefox® 2 or later
Media Player requirements for all operating systems:
• Flash Player™ 9.0.115.0 or later
• Quicktime® 7.4.1 or later

Hi Pete,
Thanks for the hints... we've got the latest flash player and quicktime on board. One problem we have been having is trying to update the metivision from version 12 to 14. Each time we try - with either the online update or downloading the file prior to install - we get an update failed message. I've got our area METI service tech working on it but he can't get it going either. Hopefully when we do get version 14 installed we will be able to have everything work.

Hi All,
I just wanted to let you know we have just announced the immediate availability of METIVision Release v1.0.15. The software upgrade is available for download on the Downloads section of myMETI or by visiting: http://www.meti.com/mymeti/downloads_main.html
We are waiting for final install instructions from Engineering, which will also be posted to the same webpage, before making a formal announcement to call METIVision customers.
I hope this helps with your problem. In the meantime, I have forwarded your problem to our METIVision Specialist and I hope to have an answer or update for you soon.
Thanks!

Jeff, something else to consider is the age of the machine you are trying to view meTiVision on. Flash/Shockwave tends to thrash the pants off of the CPU, and also leaves a significant footprint in the RAM (significant for older machines anyhow)
We found that trying to display meTiVision on underpowered machines tended to give us some of the problems you've flagged

And in my case I can't update flash players, there's a window that says start update, I press ok, it loads something and then says installation aborted. What to do then?flash chat for website (www.flashcoms.com)
