We are finding that the new Metiman voice is very soft and even with turning the dial up on the microphone and the receiver inside the mannequin it still is very quiet. Is there an amplifier inside the mannequin that can be adjusted? Is there somthing else that we can do?

I agree. We have had the same issue. We cut holes in the ear drum area to improve the volume from the head. The problem is the thick skin on the metiman head. This needs some improvement.

There is not a volume control inside the simulator. We are currently working on increasing the volume of the microphone. Drilling holes or cutting into the head skin is NOT recommended. Please refrain from doing so. This may void out your warranty.

For a quick solution, while we were installing proper AV, we would just place a walkie talkie in the pillow under the mannequin's head and talk using one from our control room. Simularly, use a cheap set of baby monitors to hear your students. This is not a long term solution, but it can help in the meantime.

We had the same volume issue with METIMan since we obtained him about a year ago. Recently a METI tech named Clay from Florida was visiting our campus (for another reason) and I mentioned it to him. I do not know what he did but it instantly fixed the problem, seek him out via tech support, maybe he can help.
