When using an ACLS scenario, my student began an amiodorone infusion. The pt. became hypotensive, and my student wanted to discontinue it. How do I stop an infusion?

Enter 0 (zero) as the volume to be infused and this stops the infusion from running

Yes, it is correct to enter zero (0) as the amount to be infused to stop an infusion, however, the amount of drug already infused will continue to have a physiological effect until it has run it's course, based on the half life of the drug. Therefore, you may not see an immediate change in the patient's physiology, depending on how much drug was already infused.
