Question Sdk?

I'm new to the METI world, but have been doing simulations for quite a few years with other products.
Is there a software development kit or provision for writing plugins for the HPS/EPS software? It seems like the manikin and patient monitor both "connect" to the model (via a TCP connection?). Is it possible to write other applications that can connect to and modify the model parameters? (i.e. a new front-end UI) Where could I find details of this capability?

Thanks,
Cyle

Cyle,

I am sorry you have not had a response yet. I am pretty sure you cannot load any other programs onto your METI Instructor Workstation. What kind of plug-ins were you looking at adding??

I will make sure someone answers your questions quickly.

As I said, I'm very new to METI, and am struggling to navigate through the numerous menus and screens. I was wondering if it was possible to write a new User Interface/Front end for the physiological model.

Thanks,
Cyle

The current SDK is obsolete and will be replaced next year.

Cyle,
Have you had the basic training class in Florida if not then that would be a great start. As the classes helped me with questions I had about the HPS I operate. Check the web site for such training as I learned from the group also. We had people from England and all over the United States who shared there training ideas.
I believe as the technology advances and the components get smaller they may have these robots up and walking. Tell that to the engineers now and they would freak out as were to put such components. That would be cool then we wouldn't have to drag them from point A to B. They would walk to the area we need them. This beats the stagnant type manikin I had in the military.

No. They do not. Not really. I wish they did. They have ways you can program, but I would not call it an SDK by any stretch of the imagination.
